Software Engineer (AI Platform): Building and evolving a highly available, performant, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure across all clouds with an accent on automation, robust uptime guarantees, autoscaling, and reliable alerting/monitoring. Focus on delivering complex components, managing large-scale cloud infrastructure, and supporting various team workloads.

Location: This role is hybrid (3-4 days a week in one of our SF Bay Area offices)

Salary: $140,000 - $265,000 annually

What you will do

• Oversee greenfield features from inception to launch.
• Provide leadership and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers.
• Write robust, efficient, readable, maintainable, and testable code.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with AWS and/or GCP IaaS services (e.g., compute, object storage, IAM, networking, VPC).
• Experience managing large scale cloud infrastructure with IaC.
• Highly proficient with modern Unix/Linux operating systems/distributions.
• Experience defining SLOs/SLIs and implementing monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
• Excellent communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, K8s (GKE/EKS).
• Experience with Data Pipelines (Beam/Flink/Kafka/PubSub/SQS).
• Experience with ML Pipelines, Object Storage (S3/GCS), Big Query.
