What you will do

• Own and improve data infrastructure systems including distributed compute, orchestration, storage, and streaming platforms.
• Collaborate with data producers and consumers across the organization to ensure data quality and availability.
• Partner with infrastructure engineers to enhance system scalability, reliability, and security.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of transparency and collaboration.
• Participate in on-call rotations to address critical incidents promptly.

Requirements

• Location: Must live close enough to Bellevue, WA or San Francisco, CA for occasional office visits
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years experience in data infrastructure engineering and software development with languages like Java, Ruby, Go, or Python.
• Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka or Kinesis and cloud data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS RDS/Redshift, or DataBricks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform), Kubernetes, containers, and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
