What you will do

• Lead technical strategy and execution to migrate Search and Catalog from monolith to event-driven microservices architecture.
• Architect systems to solve complex B2B discovery and matching problems across geographies.
• Partner with Product to optimize core user journey, improving latency and relevance to boost conversion rates.
• Oversee menu data modernization and build scalable ingestion pipelines and tools.
• Lead integration of AI, semantic understanding, and LLM-driven recommendations for conversational discovery.
• Manage and mentor engineering teams fostering technical excellence and ownership culture.

Requirements

• 7+ years engineering leadership experience in Search, Discovery, or Catalog systems at scale, preferably in eCommerce or marketplaces.
• Proven experience migrating monoliths to microservices or SOA architectures.
• Strong product mindset with understanding of latency, relevance, and UI impact on business metrics.
• Data-driven decision making with experience in measuring search quality and running A/B tests.
• Transformational leadership skills to manage complex re-platforming while delivering incremental value.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship available.
