Salary: $209,600–$314,400 per year (San Francisco Bay area)

• Build and lead backend and machine learning engineering teams, managing project planning and feature design.
• Guide architecture and design efforts ensuring business, security, and compliance requirements.
• Make hands-on contributions to codebase and infrastructure.
• Drive implementation of AI-powered features and systems with clear milestones and cross-team coordination.
• Lead identification of dependencies and development of design documents for products and platforms.

Requirements

• Must be local to Mountain View, United States, and work onsite 3 days a week.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 6+ years technical engineering experience or equivalent.
• 3+ years people management experience.
• Proficiency in coding languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems and optimizing for scalability.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or 10+ years technical experience.
• Experience with ranking algorithms and recommender systems.
