Finance Business Partner (Fintech)

TL;DR

Finance Business Partner (Fintech): Participating in budgeting and forecasting IT expenses and providing financial expertise for operational decisions with an accent on cost transparency, efficiency, and strategic investment decisions. Focus on developing financial models and business cases for IT initiatives and identifying cost optimization opportunities.

Location: Flexible work from one of our offices or remote. Relocation support to Mexico, Cyprus, Spain, Serbia, or Kazakhstan is available.

What you will do

• Participate in IT budgeting and forecasting (OPEX/CAPEX).
• Provide financial expertise for operational decisions and new contract terms.
• Prepare documentation for capitalization of IT expenses in line with accounting standards.
• Develop financial models and business cases for IT initiatives.
• Monitor actual IT spending, prepare reports, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Administer invoices and vendor contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or IT.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in Finance, with at least 1 year in a Business Partner, FP&A, or Controlling role supporting IT or digital functions.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Understanding of IT cost structures: cloud (AWS), SaaS, licenses, cybersecurity, infrastructure.
• Experience preparing business cases and financial models for large IT projects.
• Advanced skills in Excel / Google Sheets and BI tools.
• English: B2 or higher required.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking, fintech, or payments.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, ITIL).
• Experience with vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiations.
