Associate Financial Controller

What you will do

• Maintain and improve automated accounting functions for accurate monthly management reports within 5 days.
• Take ownership of and enhance invoice payment (AP) and expenses management processes.
• Optimize corporate bank reconciliation processes and help build relevant integrations with the finance ledger.
• Build a robust and scalable budgeting and forecasting model and assist with annual group audits.
• Design and automate financial planning and analysis reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage direct and indirect tax computations and reporting.

Requirements

• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field with a significant quantitative element.
• Part qualified or newly qualified with recognized accounting qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Have an owner mentality, focusing on ultimate company results.
• Possess a problem-solving mentality to assess, analyze, define solutions, and test implementations.
• Able to understand the bigger picture and be very hands-on and practical.

Nice to have

• Some experience in a high-performance environment, especially trading companies or hedge funds.
• Proficiency with NetSuite.
• Experience in direct and indirect tax.
• Experience with best-in-class automation systems where scalability is technology-driven.
• Experience or interest in crypto assets and basic accounting treatments of crypto assets.
