What you will do

• Lead technical aspects and participate actively in funded research projects including architectural decisions and work package management.
• Design sovereign, secure, and scalable cloud architectures for advanced R&D use cases.
• Create and prioritize epics and user stories, managing the technical backlog in coordination with partners and stakeholders.
• Conduct workshops, analyze requirements, and derive technical designs for consortia and clients.
• Serve as a central technical interface for internal teams, project partners, subcontractors, and authorities.
• Evaluate new technologies and integrate findings into product roadmaps; represent the company in professional forums.

Requirements

• Fluent German and English language skills required.
• Completed IT studies and several years of experience in cloud architecture design and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, container technologies, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with architecture design tools like ArchiMate and Lucidchart.
• Experience in managing backlogs and working at the interface of product, engineering, research, and external partners.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in EU or national R&D projects, managing technical work packages and consortium coordination.
