What you will do
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, UI artists, and UI engineers to create exceptional user experiences.
- Design, prototype, and implement UI designs in the game engine ensuring visual and functional standards.
- Create detailed documentation for engineers and QA testing.
- Architect UI implementation systems with focus on usability and future development.
- Contribute to pipeline and process improvements.
- Write solid, extensible scripts and maintain bug-free UI with QA support.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in Toronto, Canada with onsite presence.
- 8+ years of practical UI design experience with at least one shipped AAA title.
- 1+ years of technical design experience and strong scripting skills, especially in Lua.
- Good understanding of UX/UI design principles and human-software interaction.
- Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, After Effects, and Figma.
- Strong time management skills to work creatively in a demanding team environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in game or systems design.
- Proficiency in visual design and AAA game engines like Unreal, Unity, or CryEngine.
- Strong debugging and communication skills.
- 3+ years of game industry experience preferred.
