What you will do

• Own and drive AI systems, contributing to the tooling and scripting.
• Actively collaborate with design and content teams to understand their needs.
• Support colleagues and lead excellence in technology and culture.
• Mentor other engineers in engineering and AI system development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience, or equivalent education/work experience.
• Solid knowledge of working and debugging in C++.
• Strong understanding of one or more AI areas: combat behaviors, character perception, decision-making, ambient life, navigation, pathfinding, AI locomotion, or vehicle AI.
• Strong communication skills for sharing ideas and giving feedback.
• Strong mathematics skills, including proficiency with trigonometry and linear algebra.
• Experience collaborating across disciplines, from gameplay engineering and animation to design and technical art.
• Experience shipping AAA titles.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI systems in a multiplayer game environment.
• Familiarity with gameplay animation systems and concepts such as motion matching, IK, and finite state machines.
• Experience with physics middleware systems, such as Havok and PhysX.
• Experience interacting with scripting systems to expose functionality.
• Experience working with or contributing to in-house engine development.
