TL;DR
Senior Software DevOps Engineer (DevOps): Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines and managing cloud/on-premise infrastructure with an accent on system performance, high availability, and scalability. Focus on integrating DevSecOps practices, optimizing infrastructure costs, and troubleshooting complex issues in large-scale distributed systems.
Location: Hybrid, based in Sydney, Australia (work from home up to 2 days/week). Ability to work from any location globally for up to 30 days a year.

What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and manage cloud or on-premise infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and scalability.
- Lead and mentor junior DevOps engineers, fostering skill development and enforcing best practices.
- Integrate DevSecOps practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize application and infrastructure performance and costs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting, automating, and optimizing mission-critical deployments using configuration management, CI/CD, and DevOps processes.
- Experience with Java build tools (Maven, Gradle, Fastlane) and Docker tools (Harbor, Docker, Docker-Compose).
- Proficiency in configuration tools like Ansible and Ansible Tower, and container orchestration with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Extensive knowledge in Jenkins, GitLab, and ADO pipelines.
- Experience coding in Python, Bash shell, PowerShell, and Java.
- Strong understanding of Unix/Linux systems, RHEL, and networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, OSI layers).
- Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Nice to have
- Applicable vendor/technology certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, RHEL) or any DevOps/Cloud certifications.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
