Federal Associate Consultant (Migration and Modernization): Co-creating and developing customized systems for federal clients using modern technologies with an accent on fullstack development, cloud platforms, and generative AI. Focus on translating system requirements into scalable product designs, ensuring high performance, security, quality, and stability.

Location: On-site 5 days a week at Houston, Texas. Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance from the US federal government is required. IBM will not be providing visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future; ability to work without current or future visa sponsorship is required.

Salary: $67,820–$100,920 per year.

What you will do

• Work across the system architecture to design, develop, and support scalable products and interfaces for clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define technical specifications for generative AI projects.
• Employ IBM's Design Thinking to create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability.
• Work with a variety of relational databases, operating systems, and modern UI frameworks.
• Create mock-ups, UI components, algorithms, and data structures to deliver viable products.

Requirements

• Work on-site 5 days a week at Houston, Texas.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance from the US federal government.
• Ability to work without current or future visa sponsorship is required.
• Demonstrated programming proficiency and experience with at least one of Java, C++, Python, Scala, R, SAS, SQL, Hadoop, HTML, SPSS, VBA, Tableau, Spark, Angular, or React.
• Experience with systems design/development and information technology coursework.
• Exposure to web services, API, and Java application frameworks such as Springboot.
• Familiarity with generative AI modeling, ethics, and methodologies.
• Familiarity with Microservices architecture, infrastructure concepts, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud).
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
