What you will do
- Develop and scale core telemetry pipelines for logs, metrics, and traces, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Support technology rollouts (e.g., OpenTelemetry) by creating configurations, documentation, and technical guidance.
- Implement new platform features to improve developer experience, data governance, and cost visibility.
- Author and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for platform deployment and lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues within the observability platform, participating in on-call rotation.
- Advocate for operational excellence and observability best practices and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering; with a focus on backend services, distributed systems, or infrastructure.
- Strong, hands-on experience with observability principles (logs, metrics, traces).
- Proficiency with observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Clickhouse, Datadog, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
- Proficiency in one or more of: Go, Java, Python.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, Docker, microservices) and a major cloud platform (AWS preferred).
