Z Delivery Consultant (IBM Z): Lead and deliver IBM GDPS® solution design, architecture, and implementation for IBM Z platform with an accent on high availability, sysplex architecture, and storage management. Salary: $149,400–$189,240 per year

What you will do

• Lead pre-sales and post-sales client engagements for IBM GDPS® adoption and implementation.
• Design, configure, and customize IBM GDPS® solutions including z/OS LPARs, NetView automation, REXX, and JCL.
• Assess IT infrastructures, identify gaps, and recommend GDPS® solutions for clients.
• Deliver technical workshops and provide skills transfer to customer personnel.
• Collaborate with IBM Sales, Business Partners, and global teams to scope and deliver solutions.
• Produce planning, implementation reports, and documentation.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the United States with ability to work hybrid in specified cities.
• English: Fluent (C2) required for client communication and documentation.
• 3+ years experience in customer-facing communications, project management, and technical consulting.
• Strong knowledge of IBM Z hardware/software, GDPS®, z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, networking (TCP/IP), and automation tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.
• Ability to work without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tivoli System Automation, NetView, DFSMS storage management.
• Knowledge of SMP/E, Assembler, JCL, REXX, CLIST, Ansible, RACF, and Red Hat Linux on z Systems.
