Information Architecture Intern

TL;DR

Information Architecture Intern: Working collaboratively to transform vast content into an easily understandable system supporting visitor needs with an accent on enhancing user journeys and evaluating site structure. Focus on defining navigation patterns and performing content inventories for page hierarchies.

Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX, USA (3 days per week in office). No Visa sponsorship available for this position. Must have ability to work without current or future Visa sponsorship.

Salary: $55,536 – $101,816 per year

What you will do

• Enhance site performance by architecting successful user journeys.
• Evaluate site structure and customer-facing taxonomies.
• Define and manage key on-page linking patterns for navigation.
• Outline global and local navigation patterns.
• Perform content inventories, audits, and analysis to build page-level hierarchies.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university.
• Available for an internship in Summer 2026 (May 26th - July 31st).
• Completing degree between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and a rising senior for the 2026-2027 school year.
• Ability to work in the US without current or future Visa sponsorship.
• Basic knowledge of Information Architecture or Content Strategy.
• Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills with a strategic, data-driven mindset.

Nice to have

• Pursuing a Master’s or graduate degree.
• Basic knowledge of web strategy, SEO, web design, user experience, or user research.
• Basic experience designing and building webpages with complex sitemaps.
• Basic knowledge of Figma.
