What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Build integrations with partners and applicant tracking systems.
• Ensure the platform architecture can handle rapid growth.
• Act as a technical example, share knowledge, and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with the CTO and frontend colleagues to ensure product robustness and cohesiveness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
• Strong expertise in Python, Go, Rust, or Elixir.
• Proven experience building and scaling APIs and backend systems.
• Background in scale-up or start-up environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach others.
• Must be living in the Netherlands and available on-site in Amsterdam at least 4 days/week.
• Valid EU work permit required. No visa sponsorship or relocation support.

Nice to have

• Affinity with AI/ML applications.
• Experience with ATS integrations.
