What you will do

• Set technical direction for complex ML projects and guide team priorities.
• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable ML and software systems.
• Define project problems, develop roadmaps, and oversee delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Drive development of shared resources and libraries and mentor engineers.
• Lead hiring processes and foster team growth.
• Advise on new technologies and act as a technical expert for customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid role based in London, UK
• Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Expertise in at least one major cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS) and full-stack web application development.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to manage and coach engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated industries such as finance or government.
