What you will do

• Lead and manage a remote software development team, including week-to-week planning and accountability
• Drive technical direction ensuring scalability and robustness of mission-critical applications
• Be hands-on with coding and project architecture
• Hire and develop team members' careers
• Coordinate and communicate with other teams

Requirements

• Proven experience leading remote development teams
• Strong hands-on software development background in Java or Go, plus JavaScript and TypeScript for frontend
• Experience with scalable applications, microservices architecture, relational databases, and monitoring tools (NewRelic, Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus)
• Knowledge of AWS and NoSQL is desirable
• Upper-intermediate English required; Spanish is a plus

Nice to have

• Experience with test-driven development and strong version control skills (Git)
• Strong documentation skills
