Network Deployment Engineer (Data Center Operations)

TL;DR
Network Deployment Engineer (Data Center Operations): Build out and expand global network infrastructure focusing on data center hardware, software, and network provisioning and maintenance. Focus on server administration, network configuration, automation, and managing multi-vendor deployments across 700+ data centers.
Location: Singapore or Bengaluru office

What you will do
- Provision, monitor, and maintain hardware, software, and network in new data centers.
- Perform remote server administration using IPMI/BMC tools including provisioning and troubleshooting.
- Configure network devices for greenfield deployments and brownfield migrations.
- Manage remote contractors and coordinate with hardware vendors, datacenter providers, and logistics partners.
- Plan and implement network and server installations including power, cooling, security, and cabling.
- Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and collaborate with internal teams for infrastructure management.
Requirements
- Must have minimum 3 years experience in Data Center Operations, SRE, Linux Sysadmin, Network Engineering, or DevOps.
- Experience with optical transport technologies (CWDM/DWDM) and configuration management tools (Saltstack, Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
- Knowledge of network protocols, topologies, enterprise architecture, and network/server installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with remote out-of-band server access (IPMI/BMC) and automation for problem solving.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and remote contractors.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with datacenter infrastructure projects and DCIM tools.
- Knowledge of BGP, anycast routing, and network device OS (Juniper Junos, Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Arista EOS).
- Programming/scripting skills and familiarity with JIRA for program management.
- Professional network certifications (JNCIP, CCNP) and Linux certifications.
- Experience in 24/7 mission-critical environments and continuous deployment.
