TL;DR
Mid Data Engineer (Azure): Building and launching cloud data pipelines, data models, and data platform solutions for large-scale datasets with an accent on Azure, data quality, and production readiness. Focus on optimizing analytical systems, designing scalable and secure cloud architectures, and implementing CI/CD, monitoring, and DataOps practices.
Location: Remote, B2B contract in Uzbekistan

What you will do
- Build and launch data pipelines and data models in cloud environments, primarily using Azure.
- Collaborate closely with clients to gather requirements, discuss solutions, and communicate progress.
- Implement data engineering best practices, including data integrity, quality checks, testing, documentation, and data lineage.
- Optimize analytical solutions for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
- Contribute to cloud architecture standards covering security, governance, and scalability.
- Implement CI/CD, automation, monitoring, production processes, and integrations across BI, ML, and DevOps teams.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data engineering role.
- 1+ year of experience with cloud platforms; Azure is preferred, while AWS and GCP experience is also relevant.
- 2+ years of Python experience and the ability to write clean, production-ready code.
- 2+ years of SQL experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of DWH data modeling and ETL/ELT development.
- Awareness of cloud architecture, networking, and security concepts, together with openness to innovation and continuous growth.
Nice to have
- Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, or PySpark.
- Knowledge of Apache Airflow.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
