Salary: $180,000–$440,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and launch production features that unify common components across storage systems.
• Investigate performance issues and deliver solutions for latency, availability, and data durability requirements.
• Develop and operate exabyte-scale S3-compatible object storage, transactional key/value stores, caching systems, vector databases, and specialized databases.
• Lead incident response and recovery, and contribute to incident postmortems.
• Mentor peers through code and design reviews in a collaborative engineering environment.
• Use data and technical reasoning to make decisions while learning new technologies.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of software development experience, including 2 or more years building storage systems or databases.
• Proficiency in high-performance C++, Rust, or JVM-based languages.
• Expertise in building, operating, and scaling resilient distributed systems.
• Strong focus on reliability, performance, and software quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share knowledge concisely and accurately.
