Software Engineer (Platform Security AI)

Salary: $100,000–$258,000 USD annual base salary

What you will do

• Design and build AI-driven security tooling and agents using Grok.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate vulnerabilities in platform infrastructure and customer-facing applications.
• Own security problems and deliver designs and implementations end-to-end.
• Collaborate across the organization and drive technical security decisions.
• Champion secure engineering practices for Kubernetes-based infrastructure and AI-driven systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
• Expertise in Python, Rust, or Go, with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on clean, efficient code.
• Experience building tools or systems from scratch and designing scalable backend architectures.
• Familiarity with security testing frameworks such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, SAST, or DAST.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and securing containerized applications.
• Knowledge of software supply chain tools, including SBOM management and dependency scanning.

Nice to have

• Experience developing AI-driven security tools or integrating AI into security workflows.
• Experience securing Kubernetes-based and other cloud-native infrastructure.
• Security certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, Security+, or CASP+.
• Experience influencing security practices across teams and working in cross-functional environments.
