What you will do

  • Design, build, and deploy production ML models for recommendations, search, and ranking systems.
  • Own the full ML lifecycle, from problem definition and feature engineering to training, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Develop scalable data pipelines, model serving infrastructure, and real-time decision systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to solve complex business problems.
  • Research and apply state-of-the-art AI techniques, including deep learning, transformers, and LLM alignment.
  • Contribute to the technical strategy and long-term ML roadmap for Consumer and Ads organizations.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience building and operating ML systems in production.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go with solid software engineering fundamentals.
  • Deep understanding of ML algorithms, ranging from statistical learning (XGBoost) to DL architectures (Transformers, CNNs, GNNs).
  • Hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience designing scalable ML pipelines and model serving infrastructure.
  • Must be based in Ontario, Canada.

Nice to have

  • Experience with recommender systems, auction systems, or multimodal embedding systems.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and data processing tools like Spark, Kafka, Ray, Airflow, or BigQuery.
  • Expertise in GenAI/LLM techniques, including fine-tuning, RAG, agentic systems, and knowledge distillation.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
