Senior Applied AI Engineer

What you will do

• Build and ship production coding agents for long-running workflows, context compression, agent loops, and model routing.
• Own agent capabilities across planning, tool use, code generation and editing, and context maintenance across large codebases and multi-turn sessions.
• Integrate and evaluate OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google LLM providers by benchmarking quality, cost, and latency.
• Design safe, reliable tool-use workflows with structured actions, guardrails, and production observability using technologies such as Vercel AI SDK and LangGraph.
• Build evaluation harnesses and datasets, analyze agent failure modes and user feedback, and improve quality and reliability.
• Partner with product, design, engineering, and data teams while mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• Production experience shipping LLM agents used by thousands of users.
• Deep understanding of prompt engineering and the ability to optimize prompts for different tasks and models.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production-ready systems.
• Ability to work autonomously, own projects end-to-end, and solve ambiguous technical problems.
• Experience collecting, curating, and analyzing data to improve agent behavior.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Machine learning fundamentals and experience with model evaluation metrics.
• Contributions to or maintenance of open-source AI/ML projects.
• Experience reading and implementing techniques from AI/ML research papers.
