What you will do

• Shape AI experiences for APM, designing and shipping LLM/agentic workflows to analyze telemetry data.
• Own the full development loop from prototyping to productionizing for scale and reliability.
• Build robust agent systems, developing tools, retrieval and planning strategies, and guardrails.
• Integrate AI features with hirify.global’s platform surfaces like Trace Explorer and Service Catalog.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and partner teams to build cohesive user experiences.
• Raise engineering standards by writing performant backend code and improving reliability for high-throughput data systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years building backend or real-time ML systems, valuing simplicity, correctness, and performance.
• Proven experience delivering LLM/agent features to production (prompting, tooling, evals, safety/guardrails).
• Comfortable owning user journeys, iterating from prototype to GA, and measuring impact with clear product metrics.
• Solid grasp of the ML lifecycle (task definition, dataset collection, modeling, evaluation, deployment, iteration) and statistics.
• Experience choosing and modeling the right ML technique for the job (e.g., anomaly detection, ranking, NLP).
• Proficient in Go, Java, or Python, with strong API/service design and production operations experience (monitoring, alerting, on-call).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with distributed tracing stacks (OpenTelemetry/hirify.global APM), profilers, and logs/metrics pipelines.
• Exposure to planning/agent frameworks, tool-use orchestration, RAG, and retrieval/indexing for observability data.
• Familiarity with SLO/SLA practices and incident response.
