What you will do

• Lead the Materialized Views engineering team to build next-generation ETL and query acceleration features.
• Design and deliver scalable, available, and fault-tolerant architectures for materialized views.
• Perform low-level systems debugging, performance measurement, and optimization on large production clusters.
• Drive architecture design, influence product roadmap, and take ownership of new projects.
• Introduce automation tools to improve service operability.
• Plan and lead complex technical projects involving multiple teams.

Requirements

• Location: Must be onsite in Mountain View, California, United States
• English: B2 or higher proficiency required
• 15+ years of experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization.
• Passion for database, storage, distributed systems, or language design.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
