Senior Backend Engineer (PHP, Symfony) – Fluix Team

What you will do

• Own backend features end to end, from customer problem discovery and solution design through production release and continuous improvement.
• Design scalable and maintainable backend services, APIs, and data models for workflow automation, offline synchronization, document processing, e-signatures, and enterprise integrations.
• Make architectural decisions, decompose work, challenge requirements, and improve the existing codebase and test coverage.
• Use data, logs, customer feedback, and AI tools to investigate issues, develop features, review code, test, and document solutions.
• Strengthen automation, observability, alerting, release processes, and participate in on-call and production support rotations.
• Collaborate with Backend, Frontend, iOS, Android, Support, and other teams while sharing knowledge and driving engineering improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience and ownership of complex features or services through production.
• Strong PHP and Symfony proficiency, including API and system design, design patterns, clean code, and DDD.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, S3, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and IAM; familiarity with Kubernetes and serverless architectures.
• Strong debugging and profiling skills with Xdebug and Blackfire, plus experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, ExpressJS, or NestJS.
• Autonomous, product-minded approach with daily use of AI in development and the ability to validate AI-generated output.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering AI or LLM-powered product features.
• Experience with application security, OWASP principles, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar standards.
