Lead Backend Developer (Laravel)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architecture of modular, plug-and-play e-commerce add-ons across backend, frontend, and integrations.
• Design advanced Laravel backend logic, queues, events, and database schemas for high-traffic environments.
• Oversee Vue.js micro-frontend integration with SingleSpa and maintain consistent performance and user experience.
• Lead CI/CD, semantic versioning, Docker-based environments, releases, monitoring, alerting, and incident response in AWS environments.
• Serve as technical lead and final reviewer, mentor engineers, and drive architectural consistency and code quality.
• Establish effective AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows, including production guardrails and quality standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building, scaling, and operating complex fullstack web applications in production.
• Expert PHP 8.x and Laravel experience, including middleware, queues, events, gates, and policies.
• Strong frontend development experience; Vue.js 3, TypeScript, and Pinia experience are valuable.
• Deep expertise in secure, multi-tenant, and distributed system architecture with strong SOLID and DRY practices.
• Advanced MySQL/RDS, schema design, indexing, Redis caching, Docker, CI/CD, AWS, and production monitoring experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, plus strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in e-commerce or SaaS ecosystems.
• Experience with Vue.js 3, TypeScript, and modern state management such as Pinia.
• Curiosity about emerging AI tools, models, and development methodologies.
