What you will do

• Define and drive the technical roadmap and strategy for managed databases tailored to AI workloads.
• Design and implement fault-tolerant, scalable, and low-latency database solutions.
• Build programmatic access tools for database creation, scaling, and modification.
• Improve system reliability, durability, and self-healing capabilities, including operational responsibilities.
• Develop performance review practices and iterate on targets.
• Mentor engineering teams on best practices and foster a customer-focused approach to system design.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person or eligible to access export controlled information per U.S. Government regulations.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years experience in distributed systems focusing on reliability and scale with hands-on technical leadership.
• Experience with managed databases as a SaaS offering and building AI features in production is a plus.
• Proficiency in Golang or Python and strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, scalable architectures, and automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
