What you will do

• Design and maintain AI output quality evaluation frameworks and benchmarks
• Improve production prompts through iterative experimentation and failure pattern diagnosis
• Conduct experiments to analyze model behavior and inform improvements
• Build tools and workflows for rapid AI experimentation and quality analysis
• Fine-tune models on targeted datasets to enhance performance and output quality
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deploy AI quality improvements at scale

Requirements

• Location: Must work onsite in San Francisco 4–5 days per week
• 1-2+ years experience with production-grade AI systems and prompt engineering
• Strong experimental mindset and experience with LLM fine-tuning techniques
• Research-oriented approach with comfort in ambiguity and novel AI quality challenges
• Exceptional attention to detail and obsession with output quality
• Bachelor's degree in CS, ML, or related field (or equivalent experience)
