RAN Subject Matter Expert (RIC)

TL;DR

RAN Subject Matter Expert (RIC): Leading deployment and optimization of RIC technology with an accent on RAN technologies including LTE and 5G and RIC architecture. Focus on developing RIC applications, analyzing network data for optimization, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement RIC use cases.

What you will do

• Serve as a technical authority on RAN technologies and RIC architecture, interfaces, and functionalities.
• Lead development and implementation of RIC applications (xApps/rApps) addressing network performance challenges.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and operators to define and implement RIC use cases.
• Analyze network data to identify opportunities for RIC-based optimization.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to RIC deployments.
• Stay updated on RIC technology advancements and participate in standardization efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years experience with RAN technologies including LTE and 5G.
• Expertise in RIC architecture, O-RAN protocols (O1, O2), and RAN ecosystem applications.
• Proficiency in software development methodologies and at least one programming language (Python, Java).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI and ML for network optimization using RIC.
• Familiarity with RAN performance management tools and KPIs.
• Experience with scripting languages for automation tasks.
