Senior Application Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Application Engineer (Embedded IoT Dev): Designing and developing model-based control systems for heating and cooling solutions with an accent on thermodynamic system design, model-based design workflows, and embedded software development. Focus on optimizing performance and sustainability of district heating networks and data center cooling systems.

Location: Hybrid in Tuchom, Poland with 10–30 travel days per year to Nordborg and occasional customer visits

What you will do

• Complete discrete Model Based Design tasks to meet design and project objectives
• Design thermodynamic systems or sub-systems for future district heating networks
• Develop applications for electronic controllers using modern engineering workflows
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and portfolio teams across locations to implement solutions efficiently

Requirements

• Degree in Mechatronics, Control Systems Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of applied engineering experience
• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and familiarity with Modelica/Dymola
• Strong understanding of control theory, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics
• Embedded software engineering experience; C code experience is a plus
• Fluent English required for effective communication across global teams
