Senior Manager, Financial Risk (Crypto)

Location: New York, United States for positions based in NY; hybrid collaboration with managers and teams deciding which 10+ days per month to work in the office.

Annual base salary for NY-based positions: $168,000–$200,000 USD, excluding equity, bonuses, and commissions.

What you will do

• Partner with commercial leaders across RLUSD, Payments, Lending, and Trading to structure deals and develop products within the firm’s risk appetite.
• Design and implement financial risk models, loss forecasting methodologies, reporting tools, and stress testing frameworks for the digital asset space.
• Build risk governance structures and reporting systems for senior leadership.
• Translate complex financial risk topics into concise, actionable insights for business development, engineers, executives, and other partners.
• Assess counterparty health, set credit limits, and monitor exposures across the crypto ecosystem.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in risk, financial markets, or trading, with a strong understanding of complex financial products.
• Commercial and strategic experience working directly with business teams on risk-aware solutions.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to explain complex risk concepts to technical and executive audiences.
• Expertise in financial statement analysis, credit underwriting, limit-setting, and sophisticated risk models.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, adapt to shifting priorities, manage high-stakes projects, and perform under pressure.
