TL;DR

Manager Data Acquisition Team (Backend): Lead and expand a team responsible for collecting and processing large-scale healthcare data from diverse sources using AWS and Go. Focus on building scalable data pipelines, operationally stable microservices, and integrating healthcare data networks.

Location: Hybrid in Boston, MA with occasional remote work (EST/CST time zones)

Salary: $180,000–$230,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing software development team focused on data acquisition
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, AI/ML experts, and healthcare providers to develop key data acquisition features
  • Ensure business-critical services remain operational and reliable
  • Participate in Agile sprint management and hands-on coding as needed
  • Drive growth and transformation of data infrastructure and partnerships

Requirements

  • Location: Must be in Boston metro area for hybrid work (~2 days/week in office) or remote within EST/CST willing to travel occasionally
  • Experience leading software engineers and managing teams
  • Strong background in building and operating large-scale cloud systems and APIs
  • Proficiency in backend development, preferably Go and Node.js
  • Experience with operationally stable and cost-efficient data pipelines

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of application security
  • Experience with healthcare data and APIs
  • Familiarity with FHIR and TEFCA standards
