Software Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Java Banking Developer (Fintech): Create applications for the financial industry in the Pre and/or Post trade area with an accent on microservice architecture, distributed application architecture, and asynchronous communication. Focus on integrating with electronic markets, handling high volumes of data, and implementing software for OTC and Exchange traded instruments.

Location: Hybrid in Wrocław, Gdańsk, Poznan, Warszawa, or Kraków, Poland.

What you will do

• Create financial industry applications for Capital Markets clients in the Pre and/or Post trade area.
• Develop applications throughout their lifecycle using microservice architecture (Java, SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, Cloud, RESTful web services).
• Integrate with electronic markets (Tradeweb, Bloomberg, Aladdin) using FIX protocol.
• Work with high volumes of data, including Market data, Market Risk Data, and Reference data.
• Implement and enhance software for OTC and Exchange traded instruments (Interest Rates products, FX, Credit products, Fixed Income).
• Build high volume, low latency distributed systems using the latest technologies.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of commercial experience in creating systems based on Java/JEE/Spring technologies.
• Experience, strong interest, or motivation to learn Payments.
• Knowledge and strong interest in financial markets.
• Speak English fluently (C1+).
• Engineering degree or a master's degree in computer science or a similar area.

Nice to have

• Experience in working with containers and cloud (AWS, Azure, others).
• Experience in microservices.
• Knowledge of NoSQL and BigData technology stack.
• Practical ability to work in the UNIX environment.
• Experience in creating risk management, trade processing, or trade post-processing systems.
• Experience in developing Market Data, Reference Data, Risk Data, or Collateral Management services.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
