Lead Python Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead a small team developing complex data pipelines, AI/ML systems, and software solutions.
• Manage technical objectives and make architectural decisions while remaining hands-on with development.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, efficient, and maintainable data pipelines.
• Research, design, code, test, and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling in collaboration with researchers and portfolio managers.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote collaborative engineering practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of Python development experience focused on data engineering and AI/ML systems.
• Expert knowledge of Python and its ecosystem, including Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Git, CI/CD practices, agile methodologies, software architecture, and design principles.
• Strong communication skills and experience mentoring junior engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch or scikit-learn.
• Experience with large language models, agents, or systems of agents.
• Experience in the finance industry.
