Location: Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area

Salary: $248,000 to $279,000

What you will do

• Lead, design, and build scalable backend systems for processing safety-related signals, primarily using Python
• Guide and mentor the team through architectural and system design challenges
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build tools for content moderation
• Implement and enhance ML/AI models for content moderation
• Build solutions with an adversarial mindset to address safety challenges
• Drive workstreams and provide leadership to the team

Requirements

• Extensive experience developing backend systems using Python
• Strong system design and architecture skills
• Ability to define workstreams and lead projects
• Experience in trust, safety, security, or privacy domains
• Experience in a 24/7 on-call rotation for production systems

Nice to have

• Experience with ML/AI models in content moderation
• Familiarity with Typescript/Javascript/React
• Familiarity with Rust
• Previous experience at companies focused on safety and security
