What you will do

• Build infrastructure for ML and AI users to easily and reliably configure training and serving environments.
• Collaborate with AI infrastructure teams to develop features improving platform performance and observability.
• Engage with customers and product managers to envision new features and identify improvements.
• Shape how developers and data scientists build and interact with AI on the Databricks platform.

Requirements

• Location: Must be onsite in Mountain View, California, USA
• 5+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience focused on building systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, scalable APIs, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Familiarity with service-oriented architecture, deployment pipelines, and system observability.
• Strong understanding of dependency management including virtual environments or containerization.
