Senior Software Engineer (Java): Responsible for designing, building, and evolving shared application services for IoT connectivity, with an accent on auth, audit, API gateway, and developer portal. Focus on ensuring services are robust, scalable, and developer-friendly, contributing to roadmap planning and driving the adoption of shared services across squads.

What you will do

Design, build and evolve shared application services.
Contribute to roadmap planning alongside Product and Engineering leadership.
Drive adoption and usability of shared services across squads.
Improve performance, reliability and observability across shared services.
Mentor engineers and raise technical capability across the organisation.
Drive CI/CD maturity and deployment confidence.

Requirements

Strong Java experience.
Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservice architectures.
Experience designing and managing complex APIs.
Strong knowledge of authentication, authorisation and access control patterns.
Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native deployments.
CI/CD pipeline experience.

Nice to have

Experience with API Gateway technologies.
Experience building or operating identity/auth platforms.
Event-driven architectures.
Experience building shared developer-facing services.
Experience operating in a product-led or Product Operating Model environment.
