TL;DR

Senior Data Scientist (Data Science ML): Develop and implement machine learning models and data products to improve marketplace dynamics with an accent on personalized recommendations, fraud detection, and pricing optimization. Focus on designing, building, and iterating end-to-end ML solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Location: Barcelona, Spain with hybrid work model requiring minimum 6 days per month onsite

What you will do

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from diverse sources including user behavior and market trends.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models for business problems like recommendations, fraud detection, and pricing.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify opportunities and gather requirements.
• Own the full product lifecycle from data processing to deployment and iteration.
• Research and prototype new data and ML solutions.
• Communicate complex data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Barcelona or willing to relocate
• Bachelor or MSc in quantitative fields such as engineering, mathematics, or statistics.
• Strong Python coding skills and experience with ML libraries like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Experience building complex data products and ML solutions in production environments.
• Excellent communication skills to explain data insights to business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Search & Ranking models in production.
• Background in eCommerce, marketplace platforms, logistics, trust & safety, or customer service domains.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and MLaaS tools like Amazon SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or Azure ML.
