Location: Hybrid onsite at San Mateo, CA (onsite Tuesday to Thursday, optional Monday and Friday)

Salary: $289,460–$338,270 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead strategic planning and roadmap execution of scalable production-ready ML systems including model training, data pipelines, feature engineering, and model inference.
• Own architecture and establish engineering best practices for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of ML infrastructure.
• Mentor and grow a team of ML infrastructure engineers, fostering collaboration and learning.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, platform teams, and product stakeholders to design and operate robust ML platforms.
• Stay updated on industry trends to adopt leading-edge ML infrastructure technologies and practices.

Requirements

• Location: Based in or near San Mateo, CA with hybrid onsite schedule.
• 5+ years experience designing, building, and deploying large-scale ML systems in production.
• 3+ years experience leading ML infrastructure engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative problem-solving approach.
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
