TL;DR

Lead PHP Developer (PHP/AWS): Leading the design and implementation of scalable cloud-native services for an automated loan decisioning API platform with an accent on system modernization and API performance. Focus on driving architectural decisions, enhancing decisioning automation, and ensuring backend reliability.

Location: Remote or Hybrid in Bulgaria, Georgia, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, Poland, Romania, or Ukraine. Must be available to work during US EST hours (up to 7 PM EST).

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and efficient cloud-native services.
• Enhance and support API systems to improve loan decisioning automation.
• Collaborate with the team to modernize and evolve the current PHP platform.
• Drive architectural and technical decisions aligned with business goals.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong experience with PHP.
• Experience designing and building scalable, high-performance systems.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience with relational (MSSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with microservices and backend development using Java, Spring Boot, OpenAPI, or Python.
• Experience in the financial industry.
