What you will do

• Build and manage platform infrastructure and oversee application deployments in AWS cloud environments.
• Develop and implement DevOps processes, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery.
• Automate tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues to maintain high availability and performance.
• Stay updated on emerging DevOps trends and technologies to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Birmingham, United Kingdom
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of DevOps experience with focus on AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Basic understanding of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack).
• General knowledge of networking, security, and system administration in cloud environments.
• English: B2 level or higher required

Nice to have

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect – Associate).
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Experience with performance tuning and cost optimization in AWS.
