Salary: $160,000 - $190,000 a year

What you will do

• Lead database architecture and design efforts to meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain database code with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Administer and secure database servers, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address database needs.
• Document database designs, configurations, and processes thoroughly.
• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting to detect and mitigate issues.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related fields with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in AWS Services: EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL: Database architecture, administration, performance tuning, replication.
• Knowledge of Major Database Technologies: Oracle, Postgres,Mysql,Redshift.
• Performance Optimization and Tuning: Query optimization, indexing strategies, hardware optimization.
• Shell Scripting: Bash scripting for system administration, deployments, workflows.

Nice to have

• Strong Programming Skills in Python: Data manipulation, analysis, automation.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform,Salt
• DevOps Practices: CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, Git for version control.
• Data Integration and ETL: Integrating data from multiple sources, ETL processes, data warehousing.
