Procurement Manager (AI)

Location: On-site in Vienna, Austria; relocation support is offered.

Salary: €70,000–€80,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build the procurement function from scratch, including source-to-pay processes, policies, approval thresholds, and buying playbooks.
• Select and implement intake, purchase order, contract, and SaaS management tools and connect them with accounting alongside Finance.
• Control spend through vendor, team, and category visibility, renewal tracking, and measurable savings.
• Manage sourcing, RFPs, negotiations, onboarding, due diligence, performance reviews, and risk checks for cloud, telephony, AI/LLM, SaaS, hardware, and service vendors.
• Partner with IT on software and hardware requests, security reviews, provisioning, license tracking, and offboarding.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management, ideally in a technology scale-up.
• Experience building or significantly scaling a procurement process and working fully independently.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of measurable savings.
• Hands-on experience implementing procurement or spend-management tools.
• Solid understanding of SaaS, cloud, and IT purchasing.
• Pragmatic approach focused on keeping processes simple and accelerating buying.
• Technology-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency, connected systems, and expense automation.
• Fluent English required.

• Experience with telephony or AI/LLM vendors.
• German language skills.
• Experience across markets in Europe, the US, and Brazil.
