Intern Data Analytics and Data Validation Framework

What you will do

• Collaborate with data experts and business units to support data-driven life reinsurance and implement the data strategy.
• Support the design, implementation, and operation of IT infrastructure and data management systems.
• Work with reinsurance portfolio data and data pools.
• Perform exploratory analysis of incoming data files to identify, understand, visualize, and summarize patterns.
• Implement data validations and quality reports to identify oddities and outliers.
• Learn about data privacy and regulatory frameworks in the reinsurance industry.

Requirements

• Studying computer science, mathematics, or a similar subject.
• Good analytical and statistical skills, with initial programming experience and knowledge of Python or willingness to learn it.
• Initial experience with data warehousing and data management, as well as experience with SQL.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; Power BI experience is desired.
• High motivation, willingness to take initial responsibility, and ability to work independently.
• Very good written and spoken German and English.
• Interest in data processes and the impact of data on the life reinsurance business.
• For students from outside the EU, a German residence or work permit is required.
• The first master's degree must not have been completed before or during the entire internship.
