Forensic Consultant (IT Forensics, eDiscovery, Data Analytics & AI)

What you will do

• Identify, preserve, collect, and analyze digital evidence, including forensic images, email and cloud data, deleted files, metadata, and user activity.
• Manage eDiscovery workflows from collection and processing through document review, redaction, and production using Relativity, Nuix, or comparable platforms.
• Analyze SAP and other ERP data to identify anomalies, duplicate payments, unusual journal entries, and inconsistencies across systems.
• Develop, implement, or evaluate AI-enabled investigative solutions for document search, classification, information extraction, and transactional anomaly detection.
• Document methods, validate results, explain findings, and, at senior levels, lead engagements, supervise teams, manage client relationships, budgets, and deadlines.

Requirements

• Native-level or equivalent fluency in written and spoken German is required.
• Junior candidates need relevant internships, working-student roles, or comparable practical experience in digital evidence, document review, transactional data analysis, or AI prototypes.
• Junior candidates should demonstrate genuine interest and willingness to develop technical expertise; prior independent engagement delivery is not required.
• Experienced consultants need hands-on experience in at least one relevant area and the ability to independently deliver defined workstreams.
• Experienced consultants must be able to document methods, validate results, and explain findings clearly to colleagues and clients.
• Senior candidates through SMC need substantial relevant experience and the ability to design approaches, lead engagements, supervise teams, and oversee quality.
• Senior candidates through SMC must be able to manage client relationships, budgets, and deadlines and communicate complex findings to legal counsel, management, and other stakeholders.
• Candidates are not expected to have experience in every listed area or named tool; expertise breadth and depth will be assessed against seniority and role focus.
