Signal Processing & Embedded Software Engineer (Wireless Systems)

What you will do

• Develop, analyze, and model signal-processing algorithms for wireless systems.
• Translate system requirements and algorithm concepts into software requirements and design decisions.
• Implement and integrate algorithms into embedded software and modem systems.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and system tests, comparing implementations with models and reference data.
• Validate algorithms through simulation, hardware testing, and lab or over-the-air testing when required.
• Collaborate with firmware, RF, hardware, software, modem, and signal-processing teams to resolve integration issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Signal Processing, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in signal processing, algorithm development, or embedded software.
• Strong understanding of digital signal-processing fundamentals and their application to algorithm development.
• Solid C and/or C++ software-development skills, including embedded-systems experience.
• Experience developing tests for software or algorithms.
• Foundational knowledge of radio or wireless communication systems.
• Analytical and systematic approach to understanding algorithms, system behavior, implementation, and testing.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration across software, algorithm, RF, and hardware teams; self-driven approach to technically challenging problems.
