Build tools that automate reverse engineering from logging through decoded signals.
Own, simplify and extend multi-brand diagnostic and vehicle emulation software.
Develop battery test equipment and software that communicate with different BMS, extract battery data and generate battery health (SOH) reports.
Emulate vehicles around HV components so they can run on the bench, and test and validate software and decoded data.
Document findings, participate in design and code reviews, and collaborate with diagnostics, electronics and test engineers in project squads.
Requirements
5+ years of embedded or automotive software development, for example in Python, C or C++.
Degree in electrical, electronic or computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
Deep hands-on knowledge of vehicle networks and diagnostic protocols: CAN, CAN FD, UDS (ISO 14229) and ISO-TP (ISO 15765).
Experience reverse engineering vehicle networks or ECU communication, including logging, decoding and reproducing traffic.
Experience building, testing and validating reliable software with clear structure, tests and documentation.
Comfort working on a hardware bench with CAN interfaces, power supplies and wiring, using tools such as Vector, PCAN or SavvyCAN.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Must be eligible to work in Norway.
Nice to have
Hands-on vehicle diagnostics across brands.
BMS communication and battery data, including cell data and state of health.
Embedded hardware and firmware experience, including flashing, EEPROM and JTAG/SWD debug interfaces.
DoIP, automotive Ethernet, and diagnostic data formats such as ODX or A2L.
Knowledge of EV high-voltage systems, batteries, BMS and power electronics.
Culture & Benefits
Hands-on work with real EV hardware from component level to vehicle.
Friendly, open culture with skilled colleagues, autonomy and direct responsibility for products and processes.
Room to develop skills as the company grows.
Competitive salary and pension scheme.
HV safety and product training provided.
Work permit application support is available for the right profile.
