Site Reliability Internship - Summer 2027 (Aerospace)

Location: Full-time and on-site in El Segundo, California, United States. Summer internships run between May and August, with dates dependent on the selected student's university schedule.

Hourly rate: $33.00.

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses. The company operates offices and a production facility in El Segundo, with additional offices in Washington, DC and Huntsville, AL.

What you will do

• Deploy and manage services in Azure Kubernetes Service clusters using Argo CD.
• Assist with system patching and maintenance for internal services.
• Upgrade and support Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code using Linux-based tooling and scripting.
• Monitor service reliability and automate operational tasks to improve uptime and performance.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Python programming experience.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Understanding of Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Coursework or experience with Docker, Kubernetes, networking, or system security fundamentals.
• Must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person for access to export-controlled technology.

Nice to have

• Hands-on cloud deployment experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience from a lab or personal project.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts or Argo CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Previous internship, research, or project experience in DevOps or systems engineering.
