Senior Android Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Hybrid, preferably one day per week in the Kraków or Warsaw office.

Salary: 120–150 PLN/hour, B2B contract.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain a production-grade native Android fintech application with modular architecture, well-defined layers, and an efficient Gradle build structure.
• Build Android features using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and the Android View system, including asynchronous operations and state management with Coroutines and Flow.
• Implement persistence and security mechanisms with Room, EncryptedSharedPreferences, and Android Keystore.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including PRDs, technical specifications, testing, feature-flag deployments, and structured event tracking.
• Create automated unit and UI tests; monitor performance with Android Profiler and Perfetto and resolve crashes and ANRs with Crashlytics.
• Improve CI/CD, web integrations, API contracts, authentication, incident response, and root cause analysis in collaboration with engineering, product, and backend teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional native Android development experience, including applications released through Google Play.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose and/or the Android View system.
• At least 3 years of Android testing experience with JUnit, Espresso, and Compose Testing.
• Strong Kotlin proficiency, including Coroutines, Flow, sealed classes, and extension functions.
• Experience with Clean Architecture, MVVM, and/or MVI, modular application design, and separation of concerns.
• Hands-on experience with Hilt or Dagger 2, including dependency injection, component lifecycles, and scope management.
• Experience with Room, EncryptedSharedPreferences, Android Keystore, Retrofit, and OkHttp, including certificate pinning and structured error handling.
• Experience with Android Profiler, Perfetto, Gradle-based CI/CD pipelines, automated application signing and delivery, feature flags, and structured event tracking.
• Ability to understand and work with Java code in legacy applications and third-party SDK integrations.
• Very good English and Polish are required.
